Ok everyone, its about time we settle this question once and for all:   Which breed of dog do you love most?

Feel free to get into it and give reasons and stories as to why the particular breed is your favorite.

I personally love dobermans.  They are loyal, smart, clever and fun-loving animals but at the same time strong and alert.  I apprecaite a dog that I can have fun with during the day and feel safer because of at night!

Recent studied have actually concluded that Maltese are in fact the superior dog breed. Though small and yippy, these little dogs make very good companions. They live much longer, make much less noise and take much smaller, well you know... As long as you keep thier hair short, you can't go wrong.

If I were a dog I would opt to be a doberman.  That's check and mate for dobermans...

Akita, definitly  Akita.  They're quiet, loyal, their size & posture demand respect.  Our late Charlie was well above standard when he stopped growing at 5 yoa.  When he put his front paws on my shoulders he had to bend down to put his chin on top of my head (I'm 5'6").  No one came near us, no one moved.  A few brave souls risked asking if they could pet him and discovered how sweet & gentle he could be.  Neighbors would drive by with their jaws dropped when they saw our neighbors' children (toddlers) playing with him.  They, too, cried when Charlie went to heaven.  How else can you describe a dog that scared the h*** out of adults and welcomed children with open paws except PERFECT!

My vote went to dobermans but akitas are great dogs too!  Plus, they are some of the cutest puppies ever!

Almost too cute to handle...

I have always loved Germen Shepherds. But now I have a beautiful lminiature schnauzer /Terrier and she is my little angel.  But I really believe that all dogs, no matter what breed, are special and should be treasured.

Picking the perfect dog breed is hard but I shiba inus are great dogs that are friendly and easy to train. They are compared to a cat because of thier laid back personality.

A Swiss Doberman Shepherd.  Okay...so it's not really a breed.  But if it was, you'd be dumb if you tried breaking into my house.

I would definitely say Australian Shepards are the top breed...they are so loving and would do anything for you..I have a great pyrenees and an australian shepard and my pyr is naughty and independent and he will do what he wants...my aussie is always following me ready to do whatever i want him to do...he gives kisses and and paws you when he wants to be petted..my pyr walks around looking for food on the counter or other things to destroy!lol This is why i think the aussie's are awesome dogs!!
