Join the computer technology provider IT by the Sea in Fort Myers, Florida on Sat. June 7, 2008 for their grand opening and pet party. IT by the Sea invites you to come out with your friends, family and yes, pets. Duke's Waggin' Tail Grooming will be on hand as will a vet for on-site pet vaccinations. At 1 pm there will ge an Ugly Dog Contest. A drawing contest will also take place for the young artist in your family.
Animal Refuge Center of Fort Myers will also be on hand with animals available for adoption. Come out for some pet-friendly fun and enjoy games, prizes, food and more. The event will run from 10 am - 4 pm.

The City of New Orleans invites you, on Friday Aug. 29, 2008, to the unveling ceremony for the first memorial statue honoring animals that lost their lives during Hurricane Katrina. The ceremony will include Ne Orleans city Councilwoman Stacy Head and artist Richard Chashoudian along with other speakers as they honor the animals that were lost during the 2005 storm. The statue will be accepted in the Chambers of the City Council. The ceremony will begin at 10 am.

2008 Pet Parade at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

On Saturday, October 11th at 1:30 p.m. the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds will host a the 3rd annual Pet Parade."
With a $10 donation to MCHS, you'll be able to enter your pet for a chance to win six cash prizes and you'll receive a free T-shirt to commemorate the event.
When: Saturday, October 11th, 2008. Parade starts at 1:30 p.m. Participants should arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to register (Advance registration available on their Web Site).
