Join the Dumb Friends League in Denver, Colorado at both their shelters for a Feline Fiesta. Come out to learn cat care and behavior tips, shop feline friendly vendors, and see their adoptable cats and kittens. There will also be games for kids and prizes. The goal of Dumb Friends is to adopt 100 cats in one day. All cat adopters will receive a free t-shirt. There will be a special Cat Exhibition from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Quebec Street shelter. The entire event will take place from 10:30 am - 6 pm. All activities are free, but you can help the cats by bringing donations of non-clumping cat litter. For more information please visit www.ddfl.org. This Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9, come to the 10th annual Wags & Purrs Adopt-a-thon and help the Dumb Friends League find homes for the hundreds of animals that come into its shelters during the summer months. They will be extending their hours from 9am-9pm on both days at the Dumb Friends League Shelter (2080 S. Quebec Street in Denver) and at the Buddy Center (4556 Castleton Court in Castle Rock).
