This Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9, come to the 10th annual Wags & Purrs Adopt-a-thon and help the Dumb Friends League find homes for the hundreds of animals that come into its shelters during the summer months. They will be extending their hours from 9am-9pm on both days at the Dumb Friends League Shelter (2080 S. Quebec Street in Denver) and at the Buddy Center (4556 Castleton Court in Castle Rock). 2008 Pet Parade at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

 

Don't miss this special event to benefit the Montgomery County Humane Society!

On Saturday, October 11th at 1:30 p.m. the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds will host a the 3rd annual Pet Parade."

With a $10 donation to MCHS, you'll be able to enter your pet for a chance to win six cash prizes and you'll receive a free T-shirt to commemorate the event.

 

When: Saturday, October 11th, 2008. Parade starts at 1:30 p.m. Participants should arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to register (Advance registration available on their Web Site).

Where: The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD

Donation: A $10 donation to the Montgomery County Humane Society (MCHS) is required to walk in the parade and enter the contests

Contests: The MCHS will judge a "Best Dressed" and "Look-Alike" pet contest. For each contest, first place prize of $150, a second place prize of $50.00 and a 3rd place prize of $25 will be awarded.

Free T-Shirt: Participants will receive a FREE T-shirt to commemorate this special event with their $10 donation.

Pet Adoption: The Montgomery County Humane Society will have a mobile pet adoption unit at the festival.
